This week’s prompt was Halloween Freebie, but since I don’t really read Halloween books, I chose to list my last ten most recent reads.
My last ten reads have been fairly simple reading with four Nancy Drew books and two Murder, She Wrote books mixed in. I’m going to go from my last read down to the tenth last read.

Yes, that’s been my thing lately. Mysteries. Of course I read mysteries a lot but I do try to break it up from time to time.

Glad to see someone else doing something a little less Halloweeny! That being said, I think you’ve got enough mysteries and childhood classics here to count as slightly spooky and nostalgic enough for the season!

Ya know…someone might think you had a thing for murder…just sayin! Hahaha!!! It seems that’s all I read anymore now, too. I don’t like the meet cute love stories, and that doesn’t seem to leave much except non-fiction which is good in small doses.

I skipped Halloween and went straight for Christmas! Looks like you are on a mystery kick, or do you always read mysteries? I haven’t paid enough attention, but I think you read other things. Have a great week.

Oh, I’m not quite ready for Christmas yet! But I will in November and I’ll be ready for your books at least!
I read mostly mysteries, yes, but especially lately. I seem to be on a kick. I am actually reading a Angela Ruth Strong rom-com right now to break things up. lol!

Of course I do! Two that I have read recently and loved are A Very Merry Matchup by Becca Kinzer and 12 Days of Mistletoe by Jen Atkinson. I listened to both of them on Hoopla. One of my favorites from last year is Waiting on Gilbert by Tasha Hackett, she wrote a second book this year, but i haven’t read it yet (although I did buy it already!). Let me know if you need more suggestions 🙂

Some of these look very Halloween-adjacent. I mean, Trick or Treachery? We need another buddy read. And hopefully it will be a better book next time!

Trick or Treachery is definitely Halloween-themed and I think you’d actually like it. There is some spooky stuff and hints toward ghosts, etc.
