The boondocks: defined as any area in the country that is quiet, has few people living in it, and is a long way away from a town or city. Some people associate the term with “redneck” but for the purpose of this blog, “boondocks” simply means a rural, out of the way, in the middle of nowhere area.

So I actually live in a small town at the moment, but I was born in the boondocks and grew up there and I’m close enough to the boondocks now that I essentially still live there.
