Our summer in photos

Now that it is autumn (though not meteorologically so), I suppose it is time to look back on our summer through photographs. I have to say that choosing the photos for this post reminded me of what a good summer we actually had this year. After the rough end of 2021 we had, I was especially grateful for summer this year and was glad to live it as full as possible.

Little Miss’ friends came from Texas to visit at the beginning of the summer.

We took a few day trips during the summer, then there were many trips down the slip n’ slide and trips to my parents’ pool, enjoying our summer flowers, playing with the pets, and helping my dad pick his garden.

How was your summer? Can you even believe it’s already (or almost officially) autumn (here in the Northern Hemisphere at least)?

Our Summer So Far in Photos

Our summer hasn’t been super exciting but we’ve had some fun family moments and fun growing our garden, etc. I thought I’d share our summer so far in photos. I actually meant to post this in July and here we are — almost at summer’s end.

I’ve probably shared most of these photos in other posts, such as my Sunday Bookends posts where I share my photos of the week, but I thought it might be nice for some of you to simply see photos and escape all the drama of the world for a change.

You can see my daughter with the progression of her hair in these photos and I have to say I like it a lot better shorter. It’s easier to maintain too.

Summertime, so far, in photos

We haven’t done anything very exciting so far this summer, other than my husband starting a new job and our family looking at houses in the area where he’s now working. We have had some nice family time with my parents, especially on the Fourth of July, and my son helped my dad install a pool at his house and start construction on a new shed.

I thought I’d share a collection of photos from our summer so far since I haven’t shared a photo post in a bit.

What are all of you up to this summer so far? Or winter, if you are “down under”? Let me know in the comments!
