Hello! Welcome to the Weekend Traffic Jam Reboot – a blog link up for all kinds of posts.
This link up is hosted by Marsha in the Middle, Melynda from Scratch Made Food & DYI Homemade Household, Sue from Women Living Well After 50, and me. Look for the link party to go live on Thursdays at 9:30pm EDT.
This is a link-up where we not only allow you to share your past posts but we encourage it. So share away!
I hope all of you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Little Miss and I made pumpkin pies last night and today The Husband and I made the rest of dinner to take over to my parents and give them a break from cooking for once.
The Husband woke up very early to put the turkey in and I made the mashed potatoes. The Husband also made sweet potatoes like his grandfather used to make – baked in the oven with brown sugar on top.
What dishes did you have this year?

We had two different kinds of potatoes (no gravy), cranberry jelly from the can (two cans in fact), four or five pies, a cake, and my Aunt Lou’s cherry/blueberry delights! Oh, and we had turkey with green bean casserole and rolls. There may have been more, but I sent them all home with the kids. Can you believe Mike wanted something to eat at 6:30? Of course, I had to fix it as he can’t reach the microwave. I was like…seriously, dude, eat more at the big meal!
Have a wonderful rest of the week, Lisa!

So very nice that you couldWe had an early Thanksgiving with our Alaska kids and Chicago kids coming here on Tuesday. It was so very special to get to be together! And then on Saturday our daughter’s in-laws will all be here! So I am very grateful for gathering this year. It’s not something I take for granted any longer!
