Today I am sharing all the books I read this winter and my “hopefuls” for this spring. My hopefuls list is really of books I know I want to read so I’ve set them aside to choose from in March, April, and May. I’m a mood reader so sometimes I get to them and sometimes I don’t.
As usual, I didn’t read as many in Winter as I hoped I would, but I enjoyed the ones I did read.
Winter Reads:

Christmas In Harmony by Philip Gulley
Caddie Woodlawn’s Family/Magical Melons by Carol Ryrie Brink

Pingback: Top Ten Books on My Spring 2026 To-Read List – Boondock Ramblings
Well, since you asked, I’m currently reading The Moffats because of your post about Middle School March. I’m actually enjoying it. I love the old fashioned illustrations. I’m not sure what I’ll be reading next as several of my holds on Libby are available. I can suspend a hold which means I’m holding my hold! I didn’t read as much this winter, either. But, I did read so that’s what’s important!

I really liked The Middle Moffat so if you get an itch to read another one that is a great one. There is this ongoing story about “The Oldest Citizen” (can’t actually remember what they call him) who is a Civil War Vet and is about to celebrate 100 years. Jane Moffat becomes friends with him and it’s so cute. She and her friend also see a solar eclipse which was so cool because we were reading that when the solar eclipse came. I think it isn’t really important how much we read but just that we are reading at all and engaging in stories.

I don’t have any books on my spring reading list though this time of year I like to start reading more books about hiking and the outdoors.
