10 Christmas/Holiday Movie Suggestions

Last year Erin from Still Life, With Cracker Crumbs and I watched several Christmas movies and wrote about them. We had a two-month-long Christmas-themed celebration and it was lovely.

Today I thought I’d share with you a list of those posts so you can find some old favorites you haven’t seen in a while or maybe some new Christmas watches.

You can click on whichever title catches your attention and see what I said about them.

I don’t remember if I shared where you can find the movies in these posts, but I can tell you that I watch most of my movies on either Amazon Video, Paramount, or Max, but sometimes I can also find them for free on Tubi or YouTube.

|| The Muppets Christmas Carol ||

|| A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong ||

|| The Man Who Invented Christmas ||

|| It’s A Wonderful Life ||

|| Beyond Tomorrow ||

|| We’re No Angels ||

|| The Bells of St. Mary’s ||

|| Holiday Affair ||

Are any on this list that you have enjoyed or plan to watch? What others would you add?

  2. I’ve seen most of these and just remembered I have “We’re No Angels” recorded but haven’t watched yet. I love “The BIshop’s Wife (original), “Love Actually” and “The Christmas Story,” too. I think we’re watching Muppet Christmas Carol tonight. Thanks for coming by Marmelade Gypsy! I know all about you from Erin but this is my first (of what I expect will be many) visits!

  3. My favorite is always It’s a Wonderful Life. When I was a girl, I saw It Happened One Christmas with Marlo Thomas—I loved it. It was not for many years that I discovered this movie was a remake of It’s a Wonderful Life. Such a hopeful story!

  4. My go to Christmas Carol movie is the one with Alistair Sim. I usually always watch White Christmas, but I just saw it on the stage last weekend, so probably won’t watch it this year.

  5. You shared some really fun movie titles, Lisa! There’s nothing like the Christmas movies from long ago! There were even a few I haven’t watched so I know what I might be doing this weekend! Thanks for sharing this great list!
