Straight in the eye

On July 4, 2017July 7, 2017 By Lisa R. HowelerIn just photos, Just the Photos Ma'mLeave a comment

I heard Pastor Jimmy Evans say today in a sermon that some children come out of the womb looking you straight in the eye as if to challenge you from the start and those children are natural born leaders and will do great things. This one is going to be some kind of leader apparently…..

About Me

I'm a mom, wife, writer, photographer, and former journalist. I write a little bit about a lot of things. I enjoy old, classic movies (think before 1970), mystery books, and I have an eclectic taste in music. I'm also the author of the Gladwynn Grant Mystery series. Welcome to my blog and feel free to poke around.

Okay - most authors don’t want to do this. Just to the really vindictive reviews. I am not a summer person at all. Today it is very humid where I live and I hate it. It flares up autoimmune issues for me and makes breathing more difficult. I feel like a wet dishrag. I’ve been slowly picking up Murder, She Wrote books. This is my small collection and so far I’ve only read ones by Donald Bain, but not all of his in the stack - just four of them. I finally had snuggle time with my cat Scout after she had a restless couple of weeks since the death of our older cat Pixel. She has snuggled with everyone but me and I wasn’t sure why. I think being able to stretch out in the recliner with a warm blanket helped me to get my snuggles. She gets more snuggly as fall and winter approaches too. She’s definitely been acting different since Pixel passed away. The first day she looked through all the rooms for her and after that she wanted to be outside and resisted being held at times.
